A three-point corridor. NINGBO is the departure port hub in China. KHORGOS is the land crossing on the border with Kazakhstan. ALMATY is the arrival and distribution hub in the CIS. The lane is multimodal: sea or rail to the crossing, then rail or road onwards.
01 — The full cycle
The deal starts at the factory, not at the port
Most of what goes wrong on this lane goes wrong before dispatch: the wrong supplier, the wrong consignment, the wrong document set.
- 01Finding the factoryWe shortlist manufacturers against your product, MOQ and budget, and filter out the trading companies that present themselves as the plant.
- 02Supplier verificationBusiness licence, export rights, production, samples, and the real price without the surcharges that appear just before dispatch.
- 03Purchasing on your behalfNegotiation in Chinese, contract, payment, control of the consignment. We work to the Chinese business day rather than a 24-hour email lag.
- 04Pre-shipment inspectionWe check the goods against the approved sample and the specification before they leave the factory. Replacing a consignment there costs far less than arguing about it on arrival.
- 05ConsolidationWhere several suppliers are involved, we bring the consignments together at one hub and send them as a single load under one document set.
- 06Export clearance in ChinaExport declaration, invoice, packing list, certificate of origin — assembled on the ground, not requested from the supplier once the goods have already moved.
- 07The route through KHORGOSSea or rail to the crossing, then the leg to ALMATY and delivery to the unloading address. The interchanges are ours to manage.
- 08Import clearance and unloadingClassification, permits and licences, declaration, delivery to your warehouse and the closing documents for the supply.
02 — The job
What clients bring to this lane
We found a factory on 1688 — vet it and buy for us.
We go through an agent and never see the real price.
Four suppliers, and we need one container.
The sample was right; the consignment was not.
We need a document set that will clear customs.
03 — Modes
Multimodal: the lane is assembled leg by leg
- MultimodalThe standard shape of this lane: sea or rail to the land crossing, then rail or road to the unloading address. The interchanges sit with us; you still hold one contract.
- RailA container out of inland China through KHORGOS. Carries weight and volume, and sidesteps port queues.
- SeaDeparture from NINGBO. The lowest price per cubic metre on large consignments, with a transhipment onto the land leg.
- RoadCollection at the factory, short legs inside China, and delivery from ALMATY to the unloading address.

04 — Questions
What clients ask before the first shipment
We have already found the factory. What do you add?
We keep you from paying for something you would otherwise see only after dispatch. We establish whether it is a plant or a trading company, whether it holds export rights, and whether the consignment matches the sample — and we tie the payment to what the checks show. If your chain already works and the only open question is transport, say so: then you need logistics, not deal management.
Can one shipment cover several suppliers?
Yes. We collect from each supplier, bring the consignments together at one hub and send them as a single load under one document set. One condition: the readiness dates have to line up. If one supplier slips, we show you the choice — wait or ship without them — and what each option costs.
Who pays the factory?
It depends on the structure. If you trade across borders yourself, you pay under your own contract while we handle the negotiation and the control. If you do not, we buy in our own name: we hold the contract with the factory and you work under a single contract with us.
Why are there no transit times on this page?
Transit here depends on factory readiness, departure schedules, the queue at the crossing and clearance. An average for the lane would mislead you. We quote the time for your consignment together with the route.
Have goods, or a factory, in China?
Describe the product, the volume and the delivery address. We come back with the supplier check, the route and a cost estimate.
